I am just looking back on the distressing event in Clay county regarding an official's racist comment on FB. I too, would have like to have given a negative star. I was happy to see that the Corporation has been taken over by others. My question is - why are there only 3 to 4 % African Americans in West Virginia?

Dear Clay County Development Corp. We, the decent, non racist people are not going away. If you thought you could bring Pamela R Taylor back without a fuss you are sadly mistaken. A social media intervention into the funds you receive has begun and will continue until Pamela R Taylor resigns or is fired. You decide-- your organization or Ms. Taylor.

I think the fact that you would allow Pamela Ramsey to continue to be an employee of your company speaks volumes. My group will make certain that everyone knows about your practices and do our best to ensure that you get as little business as possible.

It is entirely inexcusable that your organization would decide to reinstate Pamela Ramsey Taylor despite her crass and racist comment. An organization that is made to service seniors and low income individuals should embody integrity and sensitivity and champion diversity.

I question the legitimacy of this particular organizations. If you profess to be a charitable organization, but prove to have no ethics how is your community to trust what you say or do? How can you employ a a woman who champions racist statements? How do those statements not violate your code of conduct or acceptable use policy for internet usage during work hours? Although disappointed, I am not surprised. The board should see Pamela Taylor as a liability and I hope that the community does all it can to make you pay for your decision to reinstate her to the organization.
