5 years before mom needed nursing home care, I thought I had found a good Assisted Living facility here in Yakima. I WAS WRONG - I wish I had found THIS facility instead.Once I moved mom into the nursing home located on this campus, I was around the complex on a daily basis. The Assisted Living complex shares a parking lot, and is next to - the nursing home complex. I ended up knowing a few people at this Assisted Living facility and would visit with them on a regular basis - when visiting my mom next door.TALK ABOUT A DIFFERENCE IN STAFF CARE AND PROFESSIONALISM from one Assisted Living facility to another, WOW the difference was jaw dropping. My father moved from the other Assisted Living facility to an Independent Apartment on this campus (and even after my mom passed) he has stayed on site because of all the outstanding services they offer plus the friendly neighbors and staff (Nurses / Support / Office / Maintenance / Life Enhancement People / etc.). I've recommended to 5 different family and close friends to locate here, as their parents health declined and they were looking for care.I WOULD NOT GO ANYPLACE ELSE IN THE YAKIMA AREA!!

Living Care Retirement Community, which Hillcrest Assisted Living is a part of, is such a friendly place to be! I have family living there and they are very happy! The Village Cafe' is a wonderful meeting place. The food is wonderful and at a very reasonable price, too. People from Living Care and friends and family gather often to eat and enjoy each other in a relaxed atmosphere. Exercise classed are held daily for those who want to participate. I go often to have lunch and am always invited to join a group sitting there because they don't want anyone sitting alone! It is such a vibrant community of friendly people enjoying life!

Great staff, great building. You can tell that the staff cares about the residents, and that they have cultivated a relationship with each individual.
