Woodland Care Center

I worked three years at Woodland Care Center in Tuesdays and Wednesdays as an LPN. I loved it.

I am 45 years old from Longview, Washington. I was able to choose where i wanted my rehabilitation place. Woodland Care Center in Woodland washington is where I chose to be for 13 days. Before, my check in, I was given a tour. I was able to walk around and see where I would be staying. The staff asked tons of questions pre arrival. I worked with the office staff to make sure all of my paperwork pre entry was taken care of. When my insurance had questions, the office staff was on top of it. They made my transition easy. I had a patellar tendon reconstruction of my left knee. I am not able to bend my knee at all. The food was great. The staff is knowledgeable. The nurses made sure my pain was kept at a low level. I would buzz the CNA or Nurses for help. The longest response time was about 2 min total due to a fire drill. I spoke with the long term residents. They all stated this was their home. It made me feel better, to know that I was going to be taken care of. Once, I am back on mg feet, i will be back to visit. Thank you, for taking care of me.

My grandma was sent there believing she would get stronger she was there october 8th to the 18th and in the time she was there they neglected her and did not flow her Hart healthy diet. I picked her up the 18th and she had to go back to the hospital. If they would have done there job gave her the right meds and folwed her Hart healthy diet she wouldn't have had so much water on her she almost died.she has conjested Hart fuller and she almost died i don't recommend anyone send there love ones there my grandma had bed sores and bruses on her and they would take hours to answer the call light.

My aunt has been here for 7 months and this is the absolute worst place I have ever been to. My aunt has been repeatedly neglected, call light on for 30 minutes or more and that's been while I was visiting. I have had to go find workers to answer her light. She is severely allergic to dairy yet she is given food with dairy items on them this has been an ongoing issue. She has been dropped out of the sit to stand due to not being secured properly several times along with other falls that have gone undocumented. HIPPA violations like crazy, even after stating they were violating HIPPA. I live in Oregon and in the last week of my clinicals to get my CNA. I know for a fact the things that have been going on are illegal and unethical and something will be done. I'm done talking and talking and getting know where.

My Mother has been with woodland care center over a year and has progress tremendously. She loves there activity department they always make sure she never has a dull moment with there facility. if I have any concerns the care staff find ways to work with us to make things more perfect for my mother and her family.
