Pine Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center

My mom was a resident of Pine Ridge for 4 months prior to her passing. I found the care she received to be lacking. She was not eating much when she arrived, we had given them a stated weight that was recorded, she continued to eat poorly but was never weighed again. She had poor to no oral care, her tooth brush was never used evidenced by the fact that it was always hard. She was extremely hard of hearing, her hearing aids were often not placed in her ears properly or not in her ears at all. She had an open wound on her back that was never reported to the family. She was often wearing the same clothes for up to 4 days at a time. The staff appeared loving towards her when family was present but I fear things were very different when we were not. Administration was great and welcoming upon admission but had no further follow through after that. Following a fall resulting in a broken arm the only communication I received were 2 separate phone calls to let me know she had fallen. I was never again asks how is she doing? All in all I was very disappointed and shocked at the poor care and family follow through at Pine Ridge. If 0 stars were an option thats what I would choose.

The leadership team and staff consistently provide professional care and service as well as volunteering in the community.

I loved my job there. They treated me with love and respect. The only reason I had to leave was because my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I moved back home to care for her. Loved Pine Ridge management and staff.
