Update: During this unfortunate Covid outbreak, this staff has gone the extra mile to make sure my Dads physical, mental health and happiness is a priority. My Dad loves it there and thinks he's one lucky guy. This ultimately has relieved a ton of stress on me that comes with an aging parent. Avamere is a blessing for us.Iput my Dad there a few months ago and I am absolutely so happy that I chose this facility. Their Nurses are the best. I can't imagine better treatment for him. Avamere helped me every step of the way getting him here and have provided continued support. The whole staff treats him with compassion and respect. One nurse said they love their residents...and it shows.

My name is Justin and I am currently the Director of Rehab therapy at Avamere Olympic Rehab of Sequim. In this review, I want to provide my honest and unfiltered feedback with my experience these past 8 months. I was hired in November '17 and uprooted my family of 7 from our home in Idaho to bring them to Sequim. I took a chance on this job because my wife and I felt strongly that this is where we were supposed to be. When I first arrived in Sequim, I was nervous about the transition due to all the uncertainties of the job. I was worried that we had made the wrong choice after the first several months. After hiring on, I had posted on a couple Sequim Facebook pages saying how excited my wife and I were to join the Sequim community and to be starting at Avamere. I was alarmed that many individuals within the community communicated with me through different social media platforms warning me not to accept the job at Avamere - explaining to me how terrible of a place it was and that they would hesitate bringing family to work there. Honestly, I was extremely concerned and almost reconsidered the position. However, my wife and I went back to the feelings we had experienced when we first visited. I can say that I know that those individuals may have had bad experiences with Avamere, however I am going to speak from my own experience since November. It has taken a lot of sweat and hard work from our team to rebuild what once was. Our team looks completely different than what it most recently looked like in all aspects of the facility. I know I cannot address every employee on this review, however my interaction with every employee has been a positive experience. The feeling of team, kindness and positivity has exploded and has become contagious. Most importantly there has been an undeviating focus on improving quality of care and giving the best service we can possibly offer. I want to be honest - there are still some system flaws. However, if you are looking for great care with excellent rehab from both nursing and therapy, dont hesitate to move forward with Avamere. It is regaining its name in this beautiful community. I love this city and I am grateful for the kindness that has been shown to me and my family since moving here.
