I was sent here after being in Good Samaritan hospital for over two weeks. I had to learn how to walk again. Everyone was very caring and the food was very good also. I was there for about 14 days and I would happily go back again if I ever needed to.

We were hesitant about this location due to word of mouth and the ratings but so glad we didn't listen. I have multiple wards in multiple facilities in Ohio including Life Care of Westlake and have seen alot of good and the ugly. My Dad just spent a little over a week here to rehab from a hospital stay. The building is older but was always clean. The entrance is welcoming. I never smelled any unpleasant odors including walking the halls. The interaction of the staff with the long term residents hanging out was very refreshing to see. The interaction with the staff and my family was exceptional. Too many names to list of staff excellence from the dining room, physical therapy, CNAs to nursing. I would have given 5 stars if there were handicap accessible front doors and, had my Dad not had to wait for 20 minutes one night after pushing the call button to use the bathroom. After mentioning it, it didn't happen again.I recommend eating in the dining room, first serving as oppose to your room. Food was hot and very good. Otherwise, hit or miss on the food temperature.

I don't understand how the owners of the Life Care Facilities can have such a beautiful nursing home on South Hill in Puyallup, and such a horrible, rundown, dirty facility downtown. The plumbing is so old there was rusty water coming from the faucet in her room. They don't have enough staff to meet the needs of all the patients, and they've managed to lose most of my family members clothing. If we had a choice my relative would not be there. It's so depressing I almost can't stand to visit - that's just wrong!
