Washington State Veterans Home

My dad Jim recently moved in and we couldn't be happier. Thank God for this place and its staff. He has lived in many other 'homes' and almost died because of that care. The VA has brought him back to life with their care and compassion. The help they've given my mom going through this incredibly difficult time has been even more amazing. A lot of health issues and my dads a big guy, but they don't care, they treat him with respect and dignity like he deserves, not shoved in a hallway or corner just to 'be' cause their busy. They make sure he's at activities and involves him when they can and he is always clean when we come. He's finally in a place he can call home since he cannot be with us and its with his fellow Veterans which again, makes this place a beautiful place to live if your family member has an option to be here, its the best place we have found in the Port Orchard/Silverdale/Bremerton area.

The food served in the cafeteria is just enough to sustain life.
