Avoid putting your loved one here at all costs. I would give it negative stars if I could. My mother would have died here if she had stayed. She lost 20 pounds in two months. The food is slop and they ignored her dietary restrictions. EVERY TIME I came to visit her, she was in soiled undergarments. The notes documented keeping her in her room to avoid interactions with other housemates. They let male housemates come into her room. I often ended up showering her myself on visits because the so-called professionals were unable or unwilling to do it. When we moved her and collected her medications - it turned out they had not been giving her medications regularly, if at all, even though they had marked in her file that they had. Finally they also seem to be perpetuating Medicaid Fraud - by accepting Medicaid $$ as well as charging us privately - every person I spoke to at Medicaid said this was unlawful. The cottages at Mill Creek should be SHUT DOWN!! Your loved ones deserve better than this hell hole.

The Cottages is a great place with a compassionate and caring team. The management work closely with staff and resident families to provide the best care for their residents. They have a great team of Nurses who work hard and are available at all times when needed. I would totally recommend the Cottages at Mill Creek to anyone looking for a place for their loved one in the south Everett, Mill Creek area.

I worked at the cottages for a few months this year and loved it. The management is super friendly and will do the best they can for their residents. I thought that the other caregivers I worked with truly did care for the residents and enjoyed their work even though working with dementia can be challenging at times. The houses were kept clean and if there was ever a problem such as too much or too little air conditioning, the management fixed it as soon as they could.

I have been working at The Cottages at Mill Creek for 8 months. My last place of employment I spent 12 years with. I worked for a non profit organization and worried about leaving because I wanted to work for a company that was more worried about caring for PEOPLE than the money. I am so blessed to have been given the opportunity to work for CarePartners! The company as a whole is in the industry of caring for people. This comes all the way from the top. To speak on The Cottages at Mill Creek specifically, we do not understaff. Our community was designed with memory care in mind. We have 4 cottages with a maximum of 10 residents per cottage. We are unable to 'understaff' because there needs to be a caregiver in each cottage at all times 24 hours a day. In addition to the dedicated caregiver in each cottage there is a medtech that passes medications to the residents and floats throughout all the cottages in order to help the caregivers. We are set up with an office in each cottage with additional staff members that are all available to provide care, including our cook. As a matter of fact, the only staff member that does not provide direct care is our maintenance person, but he sure does do an amazing job on keeping up with the community. State requirements are the minimum requirements. We pride ourselves on going beyond those minimum requirements and meeting those each and every day. The state does an annual inspection to ensure we are in compliance. You cannot get a community in compliance in a matter of just a couple days because you 'think' state is coming in. These requirements need to be met on a daily basis. Management does regular checks to ensure these are being met. The Cottages have 2 full time RN's on staff. There is a licensed nurse in the building 7 days a week! I could go on and on about the amazing work that gets done here. Obviously there are going to be disgruntle employees when they are let go. I invite anyone to stop by and take a look! You can come by without an appointment even. There is nothing to hide here. We are caring for our residents and would love the opportunity to care for your loved one as well.
