The worst place ever. Only looks New. No place to park when visiting our mother. Shady people on corners and cars being broken into constantly. They NEVER address issues or try to fix anything. They always have something out of order whether it be the entrance doors or elevators. I've put in a request (numerous times) over the past 2 months including calls and service ticket but they still haven't fixed the issue. At one point they withdrew rent that was equivalent to about 6 months of rent at ONCE! It was over $5000.00 but luckily we had the funds to cover it. Took quite some time to get the issue resolved and get our money back. If you have a hard time walking or moving around I highly suggest you stay away from this place. You'll be waking unnecessary distances because either the elevator located close to your unit is broken or one of the main entrance doors are broken. It's also almost impossible to get a hold of anyone in the office (at least by phone). When Victor was in the East building he was very helpful. Now he's moved to a different property and the new staff can care less if something isn't working or if it's an inconvenience for the tenant. SHAG isn't here to provide elderly with comfortable living or amenities. They just market their properties as senior living facilities but there's nothing senior friendly about this place. They are just taking advantage of elderly people. Definitely avoid this place. Not safe, staff that doesn't care, elevators, door buzzers, entrance doors are constantly out of order. These are SOME of the reasons to avoid this place. There's more but I won't get into it.
