This building gets a bad rep. Alot of old and poor comments on the building. I am the current 'maintenance guy'. I have been here for almost a year now, and I'd like to comment myself about the building and the issues mentioned, such as...Bed bugsThe waterTrash shootCustomer serviceBed bugs... when I first got here there was one room occupied by a couple of terrible hoarding tenants that lived with the bugs for close to a year before I got here, and didn't mention it to the staff or seem to care. Since then the tenants of concern have been removed and the unit professionally treated as well as other areas and units that may have been compromised and every single apartment that may have been effected by those peoples inactions have been treated, cleaned, and cleared by professionals of any bug. They are treated monthly still to make sure the building stays bug free for the communities health and safety and their loved ones. To say that there is nothing being done is a flat lie. It's been and being taken care of, Period...The water... when I first got here, yes, the water was safe to drink but had a smell to it and for some made peoples skin dry up. This issue had nothing to do with the building. The company that provides water to the surrounding area, the Adriana, and Des Moines as a whole, stopped chlorinating their water several years back to save money... since I've been here, a water filtration system and a water softening system have been added to correct this problem. The water quality here now is far better and healthier than any type of water you will get from the great state of Washington's tap... even the skin. Not one complaint since. The trash shoots... when I got here the trash were closed... for only 2 weeks... some tenants were throwing items down the shoot that didn't belong there causing the compactor to breakdown, such as furniture, bed frames, and box cardboard boxes. To add to it, there was no maintenance guy at the time to manage these kinds of issues. So until the issue could be corrected, the shoot was locked. In the year I've been here that's only happened once and for a day... cause I was here to fix it... the trash shoots are never locked and the trash and recycling areas are well managed and available to all. The customer service... The first front desk associate was aggressive and negligent worker and was fired. The next front desk associate had some issues of their own. They Sometimes came off abrasive and aggressive. At heart they meant well, but often didn't treat everyone fairly and since moved on to greener pastures and there is a new lady. Jeanne, the current front desk associate, is completely different from the previous 2. She is extremely professional, extremely knowledgeable, and tries her best within company policies to make everyone here happy. She treats every everyone with respect and kindness. Not one complaint or issue since she has gotten here. She is amazing, her and the manager both. Also before I got here there was an influx of bad maintenance guys that didn't do their jobs and didn't engage the residents hardly at all. I keep the building in good condition and treat everyone with love and respect. Just ask around for yourself. Its affordable and a wonderful community as a whole. No building is gonna be perfect. But I have never worked for a better group of lovely gals, we are an amazing team. We care for and love these people and are loved by them. Most of these bad comments are very old or simply just not true to the current state of the building. I personally love coming here. Everyday is a joy to work with the staff and for the residents. We have a great community. Everyone here shares and is kind to one another. Words can be misleading, but actions, results, and smiles, speak louder than words. Come visit and see for yourself, just ask around.

My senior family member had been living here and I have made her move - terrible security - water is unfit to drink Bed bugs Poor management they have/had management on site during the day - One was fired, thank goodness, she was threatening tenants and the one that's left doesn't seem to care about the tenants or the building in any way shape or form except renting units to anyone. Garbage chutes locked on several floors while tenants on those floors with locked chutes carry garbage in the elevator and through the hallways above. Contacted the management company and they do not want to get involved the trust their management. I question that logic based on the past actions of their staff. Tenants meetings being interrupted by staff.I went to the building intro meetings before it was built, researched this and was so excited for my family member and what I have seen has been an utter disappointment and disappointing in the management and to the investors that conned us! Brian Scalabrine if you are still involved shame on you! Also the Adriana is not just senior housing beware! This is not a safe building. Don't let your loved ones live here.

My impression of the Adriana was poor. I was treated poorly. I wasn't treated with dignity that's for sure. What kind of apartment leasing won't give you their business card, their name, and doesn't ask you your name. Also, I was called a messenger. Didn't realize I should dress up to get an application. They may be a great community but perhaps the customer service needs some adjustment.
