They take good care of my sister and ensure that she and her housemates remain a part of the community they reside in. They go to church, the library, shopping, swimming, and bowling. They go for walks and get exercise and have a day support facility they go to meet up with residents from other houses and do activities. They segregate the houses by sex which is important to us because we believe a pregnancy would be traumatic to my sister and that she does not have the ability to engage in such activities safely.

I researched many such 'Adult Care' facilities prior to settleing on 'Heritage House'. My family felt that because of my brothers lack of emotional development outside our family environment that we would never find a reliable, and dedicated 'business'. The staff at 'HH' are friendly and helpful in the transfer process, explaining all steps involved in such to our satisfaction. After a number of visits by the staff to our home to evaluate my brother, and after traveling to their establishments, I realized that they were the company I could trust with my much loved brothers care. My brother lived at home with us for 55 years, and it got to the point that we could no longer manage him. Though it was a very emotional moment, and at times we had our doubts wheather my brother would fit in, or be accepted, in the end it was the best move we could make. The facilities are very clean and organized, and the staff will go to lengths in making sure the clients needs are met. THANK YOU 'Heritage House' for how you have changed our lives, as well as my brothers. He is a content client, and after 30 years we can do things we could do before.
