Do not use this facility!!! My father was placed after leaving the hospital. Relatives had said this facility was used by previous relatives and they liked it. I wish I had seen the reviews before sending my Dad there on June 9th,2020. Because of COVID-19 I wasnt allowed to see him. I had one Zoom call and my Dad didnt look right he was laying flat in the bed as if he couldnt move and he didnt speak when I was talking to him. That Saturday I called to tell him my Dad was always cold and could I bring clothes for him to wear with him having a catheter and I would buy him a Grandpad so we could talk to him whenever we wanted. They said yes. My husband dropped off clothes on Sunday. On June 16th, I received 2 calls about his eating from the speech therapist. She was extremely rude in speaking with me. Later that evening I received a call from my Dad's case manager asking me to come see my Dad that night because she didnt want him to pass away without me seeing him. I called back to see if my brother and sister could also come to see him. They wanted to know who called me!!!When I got there, my Dad had been placed in isolation as a precaution from the hospital. Well the area where they place people for this is in the farthest part of the building with no designated nurse in the area. When I walked in with the case manager, his roommate turned the tv volume way up. My Dad has feces on him, had vomited on his gown and the bag of clothes I sent him and sitting on the floor. He looked like he hadnt eaten since he got there. I had the case worker get a nurse to clean him up. The nurse supposedly cleaned him up but when I went back in the room my Dad had dried feces under his fingernails and on the top of his hands. So I called the nurse back to clean his hands. The next day I called 3 times to speak to Vicki to do a zoom meeting. Also, I spoke to a nurse about what I saw the day before and she said that my Dad just spit his food out every time she tried to feed him. If that was the case, why didnt she change his gown? Why 4 hours later did he still have that dirty gown on? Each time they said they would give her the message. Keep in mind their zoom meeting limited times of the day and not available on weekends. My sister had tried the next day, starting early in the morning just to be transferred back to that area and disconnected. I called about getting my Dad transferred and was asked why by Jessica and I stated they were grossly under staffed and the lack of cleanings of my Dad. I was told I had to get a referral from my Dads case worker. I received a call at 1:59pm that my Dad had died. My stroke died of a stroke. My sister stated my Dad looked like he might have been having a stroke when we saw them. If my Dad was having a stroke, they should have called an ambulance. I didnt send him there to die. The CDC should have people visiting unexpected at all hospitals and nursing facilities because too much is happening with the elderly and it has nothing to do with the Corona virus.

This place is the worst and I never got pass the interview. When I went in for my interview, I was told I could start orientation next week and then asked to take a urine drug test. I consented to the drug test and was showed to the bathroom. When I entered the stall, I turned around and the lady who gave me the urine cup was standing right there at the wall that was right in front of my stall door which has large openings and you can see everything I was doing. Never in all my life I felt so violated! I consented to taking the drug test but not being watch while my privates are exposed! I felt sick to my stomach and left. I now see why this place has bad reviews! I wish I didn't have to click any stars!

Currently our mother is in the hospital with infections. We went to her room to clean it out and to pack some things and reorganize and found the most horrifying results in regards to cleaning. She had soiled and urine soaked clothes at the bottom of her closet. Some kind of film matter in her drawers. Fruit flys and gnats were flying around in her room. Her drinking cup looked like it hadn't been washed in some time. pillow is torn and tattered. The place has just gone downhill with little to no regard. No leadership or accountability. I don't see how licensing in Henrico does not address these issues.

My parent was hardly ever checked. She was at risk for falling but was able to out of bed with no assistance. They never responded to the call bell.
