English Meadows Christiansburg Campus

I have to admit that Ive had grandparents stay in several facilities in the area and this is BY FAR the best one around! It might not have the wow factor of facades, but it has what really matters...heart, caring, and compassion. The property has been tastefully updated with lots of open spaces for residents to interact and visit with families. The meals look and smell delicious and have great variety for the residents. My grandmother has been there for nearly 3 weeks and has made several new friends through the various activities they offer throughout the day. The staff has been incredibly warm with unending patience and professionalism. Management has always quickly responded to questions and requests to put our minds at ease with this important transition for our family. And unlike other places I have visited nearby, its CLEAN!!!! Always smells clean and never that stale old folks home smell.

This is a place that I poured my heart and soul into. I spent holidays, weekends, birthdays, and many many hours at. I took care of the paients as if they were my own family . I was a nurse that I would want to care for my children. With that said, in the condition the management is in ( lacks integrity and compassion) and the unsanitary conditions I observed first hand I wouldn't leave my dog at this facility . If pricing is your concern remember this....you definitely get discount service for discount price. Understand that there are ONLY 2 PEOPLE IN THE BUILDING AT NIGHT TO EVACUATE EVERYONE IF THERE WAS A FIRE !?!?!?! VERY concerning!!!!

I moved My Mother into English Meadows 3 weeks ago today. After speaking with several Past Employees & Other Friends, English Meadows Always was the First Choice they recommended. She had been in 2 other Facilities in the Past. I left Crying Every day leaving My Parents there. Their facilities were 'sub' pare to say the least. Management came to My Mother's home, introducing Himself and Bringing the necessary Paperwork to help speed up the Process of 'Moving Day'. My Mother & I were so impressed with the Manager, Chris. A Huge level of worries was lifted that day. We knew right away We had made the Perfect choice for Her. Every need, questions we had, things that We as a Family ask Chris to do were met. My Mother told Me the other day, 'You know I believe If We had looked at Every Available Options we had, Nothing could have compared to English Meadows'. She is Well taken care of by the Staff, they come when She calls for help & She is Spoken to as if they had known Her all their lives. Amazing is just a Word, but it holds so much meaning. The Food is delicious. I have had several Meals with Her. (This has Not been the case in other Facilities in the Past). Having her being Well taken care of is just Part of What they do. She was Happy the First Day. And an important thing We as a Family noticed as we walked into the doors the First Day, 'Smell how Clean it is'. The most important Factor is Her & Her needs have All have been met. I didn't cry that day 3 weeks ago. I knew my Mother would be well taken care of. I live 1 mile away, so I am able to 'Pop' in at Random. Every time I am met with a Hello, smiling faces everywhere. There are not just enough words to describe how we feel as a Family. My Mother is Happy & Extremely pleased. So, I Highly recommend English Meadows if you are searching for a place for a Loved one in your Family. You'll been leaving them in the Wonderful Care of English Meadows.
