There are many reasons why Brightview won the number one spot for Fortune's Best Workplaces for Assisted Living in 2019. I am an associate at Brightview Woodburn since 2016 and can proudly say it has been and continues to be a rewarding career. One of the top highlights of working at BV Woodburn are the residents! There is never a day where their happiness can't turn a dull day into a bright one. Before this global pandemic - I enjoyed seeing residents chat by the fire pit, drinking wine in the pub, and hearing them yell 'BINGO!' with our vibrant living team. Even during the COVID-19 lockdown, our activities team took their time with making sure each resident was still engaged in their apartments. BV Woodburn is truly a place where your loved ones get the care and support they need, as I am one of the associates making sure they are taken care of. It is also important for me to build a trusting relationship with each family member, and answer any of their questions or concerns they may have.Another highlight of working at BV Woodburn is the Director team. I am very fortunate to work with Directors who not only care about their residents but care about their associates too. They don't hesitate to step in and help where it is needed and always available for you. They are very easy to talk to and welcoming of any opinions or concerns you may have.Overall, I look forward to continuing my career path at Brightview Woodburn and making sure each resident has a vibrant day!

My father moved to Brightview after suffering a broken hip and leaving his home of 35 years to live near me. I cant say enough about the people who work there! They are truly the most caring and compassionate group of people I have ever met. My Dad originally lived in the assisted living section and a few months later moved to the memory unit. Wellspring Village was the perfect place for him as his memory started to fail and his hearing and vision failed. The staff helped my Dad and my family make the transition he needed. The residents are treated with the utmost kindness and respect. The facilities are beautiful and the food is quite good for institutional cuisine. Volunteer entertainers brightened the lives of the residents and family nights helped us socialize with others who knew what we were going through. The physical therapists and wound care specialists who came in were great as well. My only complaint was that the Remedi pharmacy service they work with. Their prices were unreasonably high and it seemed that charges didnt go through for months making it hard to follow up.

Several months ago I began my search for the right place to move my elderly parents to live. I had many misses and was frustrated in til I hit the mark with Brightview Woodburn. I met with Shannon, the administrator, in March and she gave me a tour. The property is absolutely beautiful and looks like a trendy hotel. All the amenities were top notch and their philosophy on care was what I was looking for. I got a warm and sunny feeling not only for the property but with the employees that I met on my tour. It felt like it was the right place!Right before we were to begin the move in process, COVID 19 hit and Brightview was not taking mew move ins. We were so disappointed but understood and were happy to wait until it was safe for them to move in. The best part of all of this is that Laura Daly, who works with client care and move ins, started to call and check on us and my parents. She brought a meal from Maggianos to their home in Maryland to help familiarize them with her face in order to aid in the transition once they were able to move in. Laura called, texted and emailed both me and my brother who lives outside of the area. She checked on us and my parents regularly. Additionally she helped us find a suitable rehab facility when my Dad had a hospital visit and needed to go to rehab for 4 weeks. She connected us with possible properties that would take them temporarily during COVID. She made phone calls for us as well. Unfortunately it became necessary to move my parents into another property before Brightview was ready to start taking new residents. We were sad to tell Laura that we had to make a move elsewhere but she understood and was so kind and happy that we got my parents somewhere safe. I highly recommend giving Brightview Woodburn a look for your assisted living or memory care needs.

I write this during COVID-19 - The regular updates, particularly when many community living environments are receiving such negative press, puts our minds at ease. We have an aunt in another state in a similar living situation and we actually sent a copy of a Brightview update to demonstrate what communication looks like! KUDOS to the staff of Brightview for maintaining COVID-19 - free living..

My mom has been a resident of Brightview Woodburn for almost a year after relocating from out of state. Transitioning to an assisted living facility is a huge life change and challenge in the best of circumstances. The community at Brightview Woodburn has been amazingly supportive during and since the transition. The community provides a safe, secure and comforting environment; and the staff are accessible, genuine and attentive in their interactions. Our relationships with staff have developed into one of an extended family.
