My mother-in-law Lola Bartell felt we had abandoned her when we took her to the East Millcreek BeeHive Home after living with us for 3.5 years.Because both my wife & I work full time we knew she would receive better care at this BeeHive facility than we could provide. Some three plus years later, Lola is so pleased with our decision as are my wife & I and would not have it any other way.

We greatly appreciate the staff of the Beehive Home of Millcreek for the care they gave our aging mother during the final stages of her life. The aides were kind and helpful and made sure our mom was as comfortable as possible. It was such a comfort to know our she was in good hands.

If your loved one can basically take care of themselves, then this might be your place. But if you'd like them to get meds, and maybe even get them on time before they feel like they're going to die, and get extremely frustrated, this is probably not the place. Grandpa has been here one month and has had multiple experiences of being forgotten, meds not been on time, wrong meds given, too many meds given, had a fall, broke his ribs, been yelled at by residents... Perhaps it's just not working out for someone in his circumstance. I could go on but I think you get the picture...
