My Mom lasted 6 months there. As long as she could get up and down, walk around, and was active she was ok there. They kept her clean and fed. However, she fell and broke her hip, had surgery, and then came back there. They did not feed her. We found her trays sitting there with plastic on them. She was unable to get to her food herself. They also did not keep an eye on her and she got out of bed and fell. I actually hired extra sitters who evidently did nothing. They were from the home and also from a place in Jasper. It is a long story. I live out of state and by the time I got there, she had starved to the point that she passed away three days after I got there. There were some workers that were nice to her, but it really does not matter if they did not feed her. I am so heartbroken over her death. It is a terrible feeling to know that I made the choice to put her in this place and they literally starved her to death. She had Alzheimers, but she knew me when I got there. How sad to know that she died this way. I would never send anyone else there.
