Emeritus at Stonebridge Ranch

My Dad has lived at Emeritus at Stonebridge Ranch for eight months. I am very pleased with the staff and caregivers. The food is very good. The facility is always clean and neat. There are many activities planned for the residents and special functions to include family members. I feel that my Dad is living in a very safe environment.

When it became apparent that Mom needed a higher level of care, my husband and I visited five Assisted Living Communities within our immediate area. Emeritus at Stonebridge Ranch stood out as we were introduced and warmly greeted by staff members and residents while happily engaged in meaningful activities. We also learned of the consistency of key employees from Directors to Resident Assistants. It was clearly evident that every staff member took great pride in caring for the residents as if they were family members. Mom adjusted well to her new 'home' and enjoyed meals with supportinjg friends. She received a high level of care from the nursing staff to address her many needs from vision impairment to arterial fibrillation, to the progression of dementia. Their on-going gentle and caringways made Mom feel safe and special. What I found to be a great source of comfort was the expert guidance the staff gave the family when we had to address Mom's accelerated decline. The director of nursing not only connected Mom to other resources that would benefit her but also suggested monmthly support group meeting for caregivers like me. What I did not expect, was the numerous visits to Mom during her many hospital stays and the gorgeous flowers to cheer her up. The outpouring of hugs from staff combined with their presence and genuine feeling of loss at Mom's funeral truly exemplified that this 'Emeritus Family' was grieving one of their own. I now continue my relationship with the residents and the staff by serving as a volunteer. This is my way of showing how much their cafre and support meant to me and my family.
