Please please take heed to the recent reviews! Once management changed to Senior Lifestyle quality left this facility. It was problem after problem and frustration after frustration. The facility is beautiful, well maintained in the main areas and hallways. The front desk staff is great, as well as their leasing agent. That is why even 2 stars. The care is not good, staff has turned over, staff seems overworked and unhappy. The loving care to your family member is not there. The prices are very high and you do not get what you pay for. My mother was in assisted living. We had multiple issues with med administration, follow up, any communication unless we reached out, very dirty room (even though its cleaned weekly), etc. We reached out many times to get these issues addressed and taken care of. They remained issues and unresolved. Furthermore, with the Covid situation it could have been the time they shined and went above and beyond. It was quite contrary. My mother was kept in her room for 3 months, we had to even ask if someone could take her outside just for her mental health. I and the family did not find that they made a huge effort. You have to do the work for them and be your family members constant advocate on every level. Please choose a facility based on staff. We moved my mom and it has made ALL the difference. A beautiful facility does not mean quality care. Management need to be revamped!

I really liked MacArthur Hills for my mother....They really care about the residents that live there. The staff is excellent, the food is quite good and the activities they provide is excellent!!!! Great location!

Very poor management team on site. Not responsive to family concerns, slow to answer emails. Serious concerns over cleanliness, medication schedule, and care given to residents.

MacArthur Hills changed owners in October who went with Senior Lifestyle Corp as their management company. We have found the new director, Mary, to be unresponsive to concerns. This place is not cheap and the price is definitely not worth what we are currently getting. A lot of the staff my mom loved, left. Ive been numerous times and found trash piled on my moms couch. Were sure dusting has not occurred at any time recently. One day I was there at mid day and multiple doses of meds had not been signed off on. The doctor they have rounding on this vulnerable population has an indictment for fraud. Theyre bringing in another doctor and according to reviews, that doc isnt much better. Worse still, the director says shes aware of this and patients can see anyone they wish. Thats pretty obvious but what about the people in memory care who dont have family involvement? All of this is concerning to me and automatically makes me less then trusting of the new owners. Perhaps look elsewhere. Look for facilities owned and managed by the previous owners.
