Dancing River

Beautiful community with incredible residents and passionate team members!

Recently toured the facility and found it engaging for the residents. They seemed happy and active in their surroundings. It is beautifully appointed, the staff was helpful and knowledgeable, and I will definately consider Dancing River when choosing a forever home for my mom.

In the first week of my Mother moving into Dancing River, early in the morning around 7:00 am, she sat up in her bed (she requires assistance to get out of bed) and accidentally slipped to the floor. She pressed her alert pendant provided by Dancing River while she is bleeding from both arms and one leg from severe scraps she received. I received a call from Dancing River. I asked how long it took to respond to my Mom's aid. I was told they were not sure. She had significant scrapes on both arms and one leg as a result of the fall. Mom said it took a while for an attendant to arrive. I inquired with the Nurse and Director on the to the amount of time it took for the staff to respond to assist my mother. They advised it took 14 minutes to get to my Mother while she was laying on the floor in a puddle of blood. UNACCEPTABLE! The acting Director told me they hoped something like that wouldn't happen again. Really......He was not impressive when I met with him. I will say the Nurse Lacy was great with my Mom, but she is only one person. We made arrangements to move my Mom to a different assisted living residence and moved my Mom out within the week. It took three weeks fyou,''Dancing River is for you! If you care about your family member, consider other options.

I must say that Jessica the Memory Care Directer never ceases to amaze with her professionalism and her clear and precise attention to details. I love how if their is every a problem she deals with it head on and tries to solve it in a timely manner. Being a employee here has made me love doing what i do even more rewarding.

Dancing River Assisted Living was an absolutely wonderful place for my mom to live the last nine months of her life. It is beautiful inside and the layout makes sense, residence dont have to walk/travel a long distance for meals or activities like many places. The entire staff is absolutely wonderful!! I moved Mom here from an assisted living residence in another state which had the highest rating in a three state region. It was a good residence - but I feel that she got a very big upgrade when she moved into Dancing River. The reasons are --The nursing care she received was not only excellent but they also loved her. The LOVING care they provide for her made my heart swell. It is what a child wants for their parent. They stayed on top of everything. I knew if I wasnt there that she was not only well cared for, but also pampered. Even when she transitioned to hospice they worked seamlessly together. -The activities are far better here than where she previously lived, and better than any of the many facilities I toured in the Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, and Flower Mound area. Ana is an outstanding activities director. Days are full of INTERESTING activities, from the standard bingo, to in-house concerts, arts and crafts, therapy dog visits, etc... I often accompanied my mom to these and both she and I enjoyed them. The holiday parties are frankly incredible. Before each activity Ana goes to every residences room to see if they want to attend. This is impressive and what my mom needed because she would forget to go.-Chef Rick and his staff do a great job with the menu and the food is good. At other facilities, including the one she was moved from, it takes an entire hour to get from ordering the main course to ordering dessert because of the wait time waiting and waiting to be served each course. Thank goodness they dont do that here.My moms final months were full of loving care and joy, and I recommend you consider Dancing River in your search for an assisted living or memory care facility.
