The Oaks at Flower Mound

The oaks is an amazing assisted living with memory care. The staff that works there is one of the reasons this community stands out in the area. The management team has done an amazing job in raising expectations of caring for our seniors and showing each and everyone of them the upmost respect they each deserve. We love being able to partner with this management team in taking the best care of every resident that lives with them

My mother has been at the Oaks for about a month. It has been a little hard getting her settled since she was not wanting to leave her home and my father but the staff seem very supportive and patient with her. I have never heard a harsh, mean, or impatient word from the staff. Overall I think it is a very nice place. but I am not giving it a 4 star because of My 4 complaints or observations are: 1. The dining hour seems very disorganized. They bring the food pre-plated and wrapped in plastic wrap. Its cold by the time the staff figure out who gets what plate. Staff have their hands full. 2. Food choices for the memory care are questionalbe. The food does seem to be good and tasty but difficult for the elderly with eye and hand problems. finger foods would be better. 3. Staff places the plates on the table then move on to the next. My mom can't see her food and she sure can't cut it. sometimes the staff gives it a quick cut but the pieces are still big, and not cut through making it difficult for mom to eat. I try to go everyday to help her eat because if I don't, she wouldn't be able to eat. I wonder about the poor folks without relatives that would visit and help. 4. My mom fell. I would think that they would have call buttons in every room or at least personal 'call for help' buttons to wear. I feel like the elderly are a vulnerable to falling undetected when staff is at it's sparsest.

Great Job by The Oaks Staff and the seniors that live there for a Halloween event tonight. I live across the street and brought some kids over to see what was going on with all the people and cars parked out front of my house. Not sure who had more fun the kids or the seniors that live there. You could see the sparkle in their eyes on all those elderly people to see hundreds of kids walking around in so many different costumes looking to get some candy. What a great thing you guys put together, you should have been doing this every year already. This was my first time in your facility, very nice, very clean and very organized. Nice job.

We went trick or treating with our three young children and were impressed by the beautiful interior decor, cleanliness, and amenities of The Oaks. The residents were kind and welcoming as they passed out candy, and the staff was pleasant. I will recommend The Oaks to anyone looking for assisted living.

The Oaks at Flower Mound Assisted Living has taken SUCH great care of my grandmother. She is very particular, as are we. She is very comfortable! I especially appreciate Nicole! She is amazing!
