I am so glad I found this wonderful place with such wonderful people to provide care for my dad. The owners and staff are such nice people who really take seriously their role in providing care for those that need it. The place is beautiful! I highly recommend Avalon to someone who is in the position I was--unable to provide high quality care for my father with dementia/Alzheimer's at home.

My brother-in-law is in the new Edinburg Avalon facility. I was very impressed, not only by the facility itself, but also by the care and concern of the staff members I met.Watching Carmen, one of the staff members, interact with my brother-in-law, I could tell she has a heart for her work. It's not just a job; it's a calling. Carmen treated him with respect and dignity, as well as with a bit of humor. Talking privately with her, I could tell she really cares about her patients. Although my brother-in-law hasnt been there long, I feel confident that you and your staff will do whatever you need to do to help him adjust to this new environment. Although he's in a 'strange, new place' (for him), I know you're working to help him feel at home. I even saw a video of him and one of the staff members dancing. Avalon Memory Care is the newest state of the art facility in the RGV specializing in long term care for individuals with Alzheimers, Dementia & other cognitive needs. Residents enjoy around the clock care with private rooms, a salon, entertainment & customizable daily activities in a comfortable, and secure, homelike setting.

The facility is extremely well maintained. It is evident that cleanliness is important to the management and staff. The chef is excellent. The resident care that I witnessed was second to none.

After touring this facility, I have to say I was impressed. The beautifully maintained spaces made it feel as it was a place that could truly be home, and the cutting edge technology made it feel as though it was a place that could truly take care of the needs of a person suffering from a debilitating disease. The staff truly cares about providing their patients with the best care possible in order to help them have the most fulfilling life.
