A great place to be if your in need of health care. The staff is helpful in your personal needs. The medical staff works hard with long hours. They should be paid twice the amount their getting now. The one complaint I and a group of bingo players have is the penny pinchers have stopped us from playing bingo in the activities room and now the game is played in the hall's. Why can't they let the players use the activities room as long as we keep the required distance and wear the required mask. It would a good thing if the big boys would give us the consent to play in the forbidden room. You would make a group of bingo players a very happy team.

I wouldn't let these people take care of a pet rat!! My mothers arm got broken while she was there. Family members were hung up on Numerous times. She was moved to a BHF in McKinney Only because her insurance ran out. She had a urinary tract infection which can cause confusion and dementia like symptoms. Thank God she Never had to go back there! The only reason I put one star was because it was the only way I could post.

Update: The staff left my grandmother in the bathroom by herself for far too long, she tried to get up on her own and fell. She fell again in the same week. She was taken to the ER after a delay and we were not notified in a timely manner either. We decided to move her after multiple falls in less than two weeks where she rapidly went downhill to Leonard Manor. Trying to get patient records was a nightmare. They said she left Beacon Hill AMA, however I and my family honestly believe my grandma would have died within 6 months if she had stayed at Beacon Hill. The changes in her alertness and cleanliness and the care she receives at Leonard Manor are 100x better than they were at Beacon Hill.Original Review: My grandmother is staying here. I've not been impressed by anything other than the building. The more times I visited it seems like everything is done to 'look' good. The reality is that the staff is extremely rushed, to the point it means those staying there suffer. My grandmother had a stroke and her speech is extremely limited, it takes her awhile to ask for things she needs even to family she knows well and they don't have the time for that. She's been taken to meals with no teeth, no sweater so she sits there shivering, and since she can't walk or use her arm she can't take care of herself. The showers tend to last 5 minutes, that's not enough time to do anything more than undress and wet her down and dry off. So my grandmother who has never had a body odor smells. They wash out her perm on a daily basis and won't take the time to grab a shower cap. They don't seem to have respect for individuals, which is the saddest part because when you loose all your ability to do everything on your own and can't even speak, it's not much to ask for the nurses to help give them a little privacy rather than stripping them down in front of guests to change. Another thing is my grandma has started using the adult diapers all the time, because if you can't go to the bathroom on their rushed schedules you have no other option, and I've personally witnessed the alarm at the nurses station go off for 10 minutes and multiple nurses ignore it, so there's not really any point in my grandma calling for assistance. Maybe she just has the worst lvn's but it seems they are excessively rough, to the point she is bruised. Needless to say, she will be moved. Looks and smell don't mean a lot if the care is terrible.
