Garden Estates of Corpus Christi

My dad is resident here. Most of the staff is very friendly and professional. The environment is nice and well kept. Where it seriously lacks is in the area of dining. Theyve gone through several cooks in the short time weve been there, food is well below average, and the girls working in the dining room (with the exception of 1 or 2) are terribly rude to the elderly and their guests. They dont smile, they never greet, and they seem quite bothered when you ask them for something. It makes me sad for the residents. Doesnt seem to do good to express these concerns as nothing changes when you do. How hard can it be to hire friendly people who smile and pleasantly engage with the residents ? They are after all, paying quite a bit to live there and certainly deserve to be treated as though this is their home and not like they are at some restaurant with grumpy workers. The food itself is just not worth what we are paying. Got uncooked chicken one time! And had to help another poor resident who didnt even know she was eating raw fish! My dad has his caregivers cooking for him because the food is substandard.

Great staff and I felt my father was safe and truly cared for.
