Every place from the best to the worst has it's bumps bruises. Things people dont like or approve of even agree with. I am a current resident here at Apex and I've been in about 4 to 5 other nursing homes the one thing Apex has above all else and keeps me here at Apex and that's the family. The staff basically adopts you and does iit for everyone. Through this Covid experience they are top notch always, making sure we are safe. The Dr Shebib who cares for the patients treats like we are his own family he is great. Admin Raymond and Haley our admin and Do work together and their doors are always open. Please if you have family bring them here to join our larger family.

My brother has been here two months and Im extremely happy with the way hes being taken care of. The staff have been helpful, professional and friendly. Raymond, Brittanay, Raquel, Forrest, Lee, Sandra, have all listen and communicated with me about my expectations and they do their very Best to accommodate my brother and myself with what my brother needs and I expect. My brother has gain weight and looks healthy. The nurses and aides have also been amazing in particular Sandra the nurse and Sandra and Angela the aides. Ive read the bad reviews and I believe that this places has improved. Im satisfied with the communication and how I can call whenever I want and speak with anyone about my brothers care. I am at peace with my brother being here after the horrible experience at Whisperwood.

******DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE******If didn't have to give any stars I would. A dear friend of mines mother has been here and was sent to the hospital for anemia recently. While there her condition was a lot worse then what the nursing home had stated to the family & she was transferred to UMC hospital in Lubbock where she got a blood transfusion the same day she got there. 22 bed sores! One all the way to the bone. This is pure NEGLECT. If you love your loved ones DO NOT send them here or even chance it. Bed sores do not happen overnight.

So my mother was a client here. I say was, because she passed away Monday morning. I wasn't even sure she was here, because when I called on Thanksgiving, a guy told me he wasn't sure my mom was even a patient there. And Christmas when I called, I was hung up on.... TWICE!!! I got screenshot of the calls and times. So Sunday my mother was brought into UMC complain of chest pains, almost immediately upon getting admitted, she went septic. According to paper work from hospital, and the Doctors statements, she had a very servere infection. An infection that was the result of either a giant bed sore on her back with smaller ones around it, or a servere U.T.I..... the autopsy will confirm which thing was the source of the infection in her blood. Either way, I feel this 'death home' should of cought these illnesses earlier. I mean, it is supposed to be a NURSING home....not a, completely ignore and neglect you home. I'm sure they didn't care about my mom one bit, since they probably thought she didn't have any family, well guess what??? She does!!! And we are LIVID!!! Anyone that has any advice for me since I'm in Arkansas and not familiar with Texas law, please let me know. I already discovered so many terrible stories about this place .....if you love your family member, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!!!
