Deah Williams is dead wrong about most of her inane, infantile, babbling complaints.I've lived here for over 4 1/2 years, & this place is one of the best managed & maintained federally subsidized properties in Cannon County, per Rural Development, the governing subsidy agency. The windows are from a company that specially builds each one per order, and therefore it takes a few months to get replacements. The management has no control over who brings in bedbugs, but they are contracted with a national pest control service to handle the situations. As for adjacent apartments having to be treated at the same time as the offending residence, it is to prevent the spread & infestation of bedbugs, which are very hardy & resilient little pests. Yes, it's inconvenient, but if all parties cooperate, the treatment is effective & over with in 3-4 weeks (2-3 life cycles of a bedbug). This dovetails into the alleged 'pointless inspections'. Every month the pest control agency comes & sprays each apartment & checks monitor traps to see what's been coming through & treat accordingly. The manager is federally required to do at least 2 inspections per year on all apartments but can do more as deemed necessary. Since a management representative accompanies the technician to open locked doors & provide accountability, it makes sense to do a light monthly inspection at that time. Rural Development has specific guidelines to be maintained, & by addressing potential issues sooner rather than later, it makes it easier to keep up than catch up. Not to mention that these rules are in place to protect the U.S. taxpayers investment in subsidized housing. (Thank you, by the way. Without your help, many of us here would be homeless.)(YAY AMERICA!)Residents are welcome to observe every inspection, & in fact are encouraged to participate by expressing concerns & asking questions.AND MANAGEMENT NOR THE TECHNICIANS EVER DISTURB THE RESIDENTS PERSONAL PROPERTY! THAT IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE!This place is safe, secure, & well maintained for qualified residents. (62 or older, or disabled at any age.)If you have someone who needs housing help, I highly recommend this place. It is a very friendly housing community.(Oh... the air quality is just fine around here, too.)

If I could rate this place zero, I would! This place is not an apartment complex, it is more like a daycare with ridiculous pop-up rules and worthless inspections. I have an older family member that has been there for almost a year. In that time, this member of my family has experienced nothing but negative things from this place. The manager is only there for a few hours a week and avoids the residence so that she will not have to deal with the arising issues around the building. It took management MONTHS to replace a broken and shattered window in the unit. Not to mention there were multiple other apartment units that needed new windows, also. Management put notes on all apartment doors expressing that no resident was allowed in the lobby areas until July 1st, because of a certain resident gossiping about others. Management punished all residents instead of going directly to the known source of the issue. There have been multiple cases (just in the time my family member has been here) of bed bugs (from different residents) in this building. Even though they were approved clean by management, management forced surrounding residents of the infested (by bed bugs) apartments to wash ALL clothes, sheets, blankets, pillows, etc. ONLY with hot water, at their own expenses. Once washed in ONLY hot water, the residents must bag up all items in trash bags (that MUST be tied a certain way and then taped thoroughly) and the items must remain in the bags for a minimum of a month, or longer, if management cannot control the bugs. Alongside that, the residents (elderly people, I might add) must clear their walls of everything and make sure to pull everything 3 feet away from the wall (without help from management). Management then made residents leave their apartments EVERY Tuesday for a month (or longer) and they are not to return until management says they are allowed to come back (hours and hours later). This is so they can spray all surrounding apartments for prevention of bugs caused by another resident. The residents are to only have 4 outfits that they are allowed to have out (all other items must be in trash bags, as stated before). The residents are only to have a sheet and ONE pillow on the bed for sleeping (all other items such as other pillows, blankets, comforters, etc. must be in trash bags). All items in trash bags are to remain sealed in the bags until management approves residents to take them out (minimum of a month, possibly longer). During inspections, they prefer the residents to not be present. Inspectors move and touch the belongings of the residents without permission! They do not respect the residents and their belongings. The air quality throughout the entire building is muggy, nasty and stinks. It is difficult to breathe throughout the place because the air is so thick and musty! Multiple residents have complained about health issues due to this problem and have had to go to the doctor. The elevator has a permit inside of it that expired in the year 2011, and it is now the year of 2018! If residents want cable services, they must only use a certain hole in the wall company that charges OUTRAGEOUS prices! Although pets are allowed, residents with pets must carry their pets until they are outside. Pets are not allowed to walk inside the building, only be carried. I would rate this place as one of the worst places to live and would not recommend this place to anyone. Management is terrible and not worried about the well being of the residents by any means. Residents are CONSTANTLY being threatened with eviction if they upset the manager, but not evicted for causing MULTIPLE residents trouble because of the bed bugs that they brought in. Confronting management about issues is pointless! The manager complains about issues going on and it takes her MONTHS to fix the simplest concerns and issues. If I had the money I would definitely move my family member out of this place in a heartbeat!
