Canterfield of Oak Ridge

By far the best place I have ever worked! I highly recommend this place for your loved ones needs. The staff are very compassionate, loving and very understanding. I had a short time there but I enjoyed every day of it. Each resident has different needs and we worked hard and made sure every resident had their needs met. They are definitely FAMILY to us.

My mother moved into Canterfield in 2018 because of cognitive issues. We chose Canterfield because of the management staff that we met when looking for a suitable assisted living facility. I was extremely impressed with the obvious compassion and commitment that each staff member has for the facility and its residents. From the executive director to the sales director, activities director, finance director, maintenance director and entire maintenance staff, I have been continually pleased with the care that my mother received. The serving staff that work in the dining room is also excellent - they keep track of each residents likes and dislikes and treat them with the utmost respect. The new food manager has also brought an improved selection of meal choices. I HIGHLY recommend this facility to anyone that is no longer able to live independently.

My mother and father both lived at Canterfield of Oak Ridge on the Alzheimer ward . The care they both received while living there was incredible. The staff could not have been more attentive to their or our family needs. It didn't matter what time I had a need it was met. I was given the director of nursing and the facility directors phone number on day one. They said to call if there was ever a need. I in fact did call one night at about 2am and they came in to make sure our issue was taken care of. They treated us like family and we treated them like family. During the time my father and our family was dealing with the decline and passing of our mother they were there sitting at the bed side with us. They cried right along side us. The comfort that was given to my father in the weeks that followed was unbelievable. A few months later our father passed away and they have followed us in the days and weeks that followed. The only regret we have is not moving them in earlier. These people not only talk the talk, they walk the walk!! Great Job Canterfield Family!! Thanks for your love and support in those difficult times of our life.

My grandparents moved here from another facility and Im so glad they did! As many probably know, food is a critical component to the experience. While my grandparents arent a huge fan of all the meals, they do appreciate the grab and go option. They also like the choices of things to do!I do wish the staff interacted with the residents a little more though...

Just moved in my mom...Casey and everyone that we met with was great. Nice facility. I will update review after a few weeks.
