Beware as they are very understaffed in nursing. They have a few great nurses that do all the work and others just stand around. It is just a matter of time before the good nurses have had enough and leave. The food service is constantly changing and very undependable. Again the lack of team work from the food service puts added pressure on the nursing to correct the orders. At nighttime if you need help and press the button you are lucky if anyone comes to help and if they do it takes hours. If you tell a manager you get i am sorry we are understaffed and i will look into it. Also there was an increase in the room rates that no one notified our family about until we received the bill. When you pay over 11000 dollars a month for a premium nursing service for your love one you should get what you pay for.

I was at Blakeford at Green Hills for 20 days. It was the longest 20 days of my life. Just a few of the staff act professionally. Generally, there was just one RN on duty/floor/shift. Most of the LPN's are incompetent and disrespectful, especially on the second shift. They only had two shifts and when I 'pressed the button for help' someone MAY show up in thirty (30) minutes. My meds were dropped on the floor and one medication was placed in a drawer next to my bed. It was a NIGHTMARE.When I checked out, the Social Worker, who must have been in charge, never showed up. Therefore I had no 'discharge meeting' which I was supposed to have. People (employees) came into my room at 1 or 2 inthe morning, and turn on the lights. When I asked why I was awaken she said 'I'm lookin for somethin'!The Physical Therapists, and Occupational Therapist were very good.Never once talked to a management big shot. When I was being wheeled back to my room after P.T. I saw a man in jeans talking on his cell phone. When I inquired who that was 'He's one of the 'owners'.I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone.

Thanks Blakeford of Green Hills for providing such a wonderful place for seniors. We are blessed to be part of your family. Last summer (2018), my parents moved into the Blakeford. As expected, there was a transition period in moving from their beautiful home of many years into a retirement community. However, from day one, the staff and the residents were warm and welcoming and my parents quickly grew to enjoy the friendly faces, surroundings, services and safety offered by the Blakeford. The facility and the grounds are wonderful, and the location is perfect in the heart of Green Hills. Their apartment is beautiful and the convenience to the parking garage, dining room and other amenities is great! There are lots of ways to get involved at the Blakeford with the many activities offered. But most of all, its the residents and the staff that make the Blakeford a special place. Being able to live independently in this safe, beautiful and warm community without the worry and hassles of a single family home has been a great fit!

Incredible staff, very clean facility, warm and receptive when I am there. Residents are upbeat and moving around and the general attitude is positive. Plenty of amenities and things to do in the Green Hills area. The Activities Director is extremely active with this community.
