Williamsburg Villas

Williamsburg Villas is an excellent memory care facility. My grandmother had been at an assisted living facility operated by a different company. My grandmother's dementia worsened. The other assisted living facility was unable to provide adequate care, and my grandmother's condition further worsened. She became unable to recognize me or even speak in complete sentences. She was frequently agitated. She stopped eating well. A friend recommended that we meet with Debbie Gibbs at Williamsburg Villas to see if they could help my grandmother. Ms. Gibbs provided information and assistance in a kind and caring manner. We decided to move my grandmother from the other assisted living facility to Williamsburg Villas. It proved to be a great decision. The facilities at Williamsburg Villas have a well-designed layout for patients with dementia and are nicely appointed with new and up-to-date fixtures and decorations. The facilities are always clean. There is always an adequate number of well-trained, kind, and caring staff to provide care for the patients. The staff members take time to know the patients and interact with them rather than simply meeting their medical needs. The daily activities are designed for patients with dementia, and caregivers engage the patients in order to help them enjoy the activities. They even take the patients on short trips when possible. My grandmother actually improved a few days after moving to Williamsburg Villas. She now recognizes me, engages in conversation with me, no longer seems agitated, eats appropriately, and seems genuinely happy. The people at Williamsburg Villas made a difference for her. We have been blessed to have Williamsburg Villas provide care for my grandmother. I highly recommend them for patients who need a memory care facility.
