I am only posting this as a rebuttal to another reviewer who gave a 2* rating that is from over 5 yrs ago. My grandparents live in this facility. The home was bought out about 3 yrs ago by a national company that immediately made many changes at the facility. They have a great chef on staff with excellent food service. There are so many activities that some people actually have to pick and choose what they want to go do now. Add to that, a staff of genuine, caring individuals, along with all the other amenities, and in my book, you have a 5* home for your deserved loved ones.

My sister and brother-in-law moved here and really like their apartment and the staff. It's much more to their liking than the assisted living facility they had moved into. They can cook and bake when they want and that's important for them.

I feel fortunate to have my relative at Parkview Fountain City. The staff is fantastic, the facilities well maintained and modern. The dining area is excellent - a 6 week menu with well seasoned and prepared food. The desserts are fantastic. And the lunch hamburger is second only to Litton's. It is important to remember this is independent living - like a college dorm for the elderly, with a very understanding staff. And on top of that, there are regular activities - understandably not at a level that suits all, but for us it has been just right.

Avoid this facility. Owner is an individual, not a company, named Pat Sydes. She is known for bait and switch sales tactics and has evicted senior citizens for no cause. Residents have no re-course. Bad food, few activities etc. Look elsewhere for your loved ones!!!
