Etta Nichols on May 28th posted this on Facebook. She lives there.ElmCroft of Kingsport assisted living is where I live. The pictures are what I was served last night for supper and that was a good night, not very appetizing is it ? That that looks like gravy is supposed to be coconut cream pie the other is ham, roll and the other two Im not sure. Theres a lot of money paid to live here around $50,000 a year and you would think the meals would be better than this. The food is so bad most residents dont eat it. Some order out but we shouldnt have to order out with what we pay to live here. Meals are the highlight of our days but theyre not very delightful and being shut in your room because of the virus it can be very depressing. For lunch yesterday we had pimento cheese sandwich and about two tablespoons of macaroni salad. Ive talked to management about this even kept my supper in the refrigerator till the next day to show management and ask if they would want to eat it and they said it doesnt look very appetizing does it? Nothing changes about the food though. The other residents who cant or are afraid to speak out, what is happening to them I guess they just go hungry. This is happening at ElmCroft in our wonderful city of Kingsport Tn. Can someone tell me who to talk to when management doesnt listen and when your 84 yrs old and not in good health its not that simple to just up and move and it cost a lot to move. I just want better meals to be provided. I dont think thats asking to much for a time in my life that that is the highlight of your day is meal time. I enjoy that my brother lives here also and a life long friend does too. The management and employees are very nice and caring. My complaint is the food but that is a big deal when your 84 and that is what you have to look forward to especially while you cant even have visitors or come out of your room because of the Covid 19 virus and thank God we dont have any cases here.

If I could give no stars I would this place pretty much starves their residents by barely feeding them edible food. Avoid this place at all costs!! I could cook better food for these people.
