It was good management but lazy staff especially memory care

Very disappointed with this facility. We moved our 90-year-old grandmother in here as it seemed to be a good fit. After already signing paperwork and paying rent, we were told that all heating pads and heating blankets are banned--this is NOT mentioned in the resident handbook, and was not brought up during our original interview. I left multiple voicemails with the administrator about some issues that arose, and my calls were never returned. The first night grandma spent here, she fell and hit her head and was bleeding. It took FIFTEEN MINUTES for staff to respond, and then longer after that to find a nurse. Completely unacceptable. I cannot in good faith recommend this place to anyone who cares about their loved ones.

A very bad place to work. Especially in the memory care unit. Some Ras and supervisors are hateful and mean to the residents. Memory care coordinator does not know what she is doing. She cusses in front of the residents. And also ignores them. And all other Lpns that work back there are awful to residents except for Brenda. She is average with them. The residents rooms smell very bad and poop in the closets. Rooms are never cleaned. Housekeepers dont do nothing either. The wellness director Becky hires whatever walks in the door that should explain why the residents are not being took care of. Also fall risk residents are left in the dining room in memory care and the poor residents end up falling in floor. The sweet residents and families deserve much much better than that place. Anita needs to hire very good and nice kind hearted people that knows how to treat staff and residents and how to be a supervisor. Wow!! Wake up!!!! If not then perhaps Elmcroft needs new administration.
