Iva Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center

Something substantial must have happened in the time since the other reviews - probably the bankruptcy, but I based my mother's rehab choice based on them and paid dearly. In the 6 week stay at Iva, after my mother's hip replacement, she received care that can only be described as hideous. They failed to provide basic medical care - her surgical staples were still in place (when they should have been removed within 2 weeks). Her surgical site was infected. She had horrible bed sores, was malnourished, and she passed away within 24 hours after they discharged her, claiming she had progressed as far as they could make it. There was no communication regarding any worsening medical issues, and obviously no medical attention had been given. They neglected my mother's care, and quickly discharged her back to her assisted living facility when it was evident she was dying. Living several states away, I placed faith in Iva to care for my mother, and that trust was abused.

My aunt is a client of Exalted. She has been here many times and I have to say they treat her like family. I've only had one situation where there was a staff that didn't show me very good customer service. That has been since resolved.
