I was a visitor to my aunt. The staff here are very rude. I asked someone to help her get up to the bathroom and was told 'i'll go find someone' and of course no one came to help. While I was there I heard the bell ringing for nearly 10 minutes. No one seemed interested in answering the call. They seem to be more interested in Facebook or their phones then they are about taking care of people. This seems more like social hour than a rehab. The room was cluttered and looked like it had never been swept. Bits of trash scattered the room. If my Mom ever needs nursing care I would NOT bring her here-shame on you all for not doing your job!

I am a courier for Heartland of Hanahan. I am always greeted so pleasantly by Vanessa at the front desk. She is always smiling and makes a time to chat with me and help all the patients around her!

Mom was in rehab for over a month and we are very pleased with the care she was provided. The staff of RNs, CNAs, PTs, OTs, NPs, Front desk personnel, admissions and all who provided great care during her stay. I am probably leaving someone out but we are thankful for the great care she received. She was very pleased with the food being good and healthy, as well.

Clayton and I would like to extend our thankfulness to all members of the Heartland staff for the great care, kindness and hard work everyone showed to my husband Clayton during his rehabilitation at Heatland. There was alot of laughter, attention to detail and great care. God bless all of you.

Please DO NOT send your loved ones here!! My mother fell, and she was a fall risk! Staff could not tell us how long she had been on the floor. In addition, when she was short of breath while there, they waited days before finally sending her to the ER, and by that time, she was in a great deal of distress! They did not have alarms on her wheelchair or bed, but we were also not notified of that or a fall risk plan. Yes, some places do not use alarms but must have a plan, but we were never notified. We were also told by billing that she was paid up (through the day after she fell). Yet, after she passed away, we received a bill. When my father asked for an itemized statement of charges, he never received one, but what he got instead was another bill for MORE money! He asked for another itemized statement and never received it. Instead, he got a notice from probate court to pay the amount. Save yourself some frustration and do NOT choose this facility.
