My grandmother lives in the memory care unit. The staff goes above and beyond for my grandmother. My family moved my grandmother in this property because we heard their was new management and staff members. Im always cautious with management because their job is to sell a place. The management is always spending time with my grandmother and have been outstanding to me and my family. Everyone we have had dealings with goes above what we expected and couldnt be happier. As my grandmother has gotten worse with her dementia, (she has been hard to handle at times) the nurse has been a blessing to us and so has the memory care manager. This is the only place in Greenville I would ever suggest moving your family members. I have visited the other side of the building which is the assisted living and the staff is just as amazing. The staff and management are so nice and always speak to me. They make me want to move in!

While i absolutely adore the floor staff, housekeeping, and med techs, the upper management is lacking. My mom has dementia and they sent her to the hospital. Now they are refusing to accept her back without a 24/7 sitter because she is exit seeking. Even in memory care they are demanding this. At minimum wage that would be an extra 5712 a MONTH on top of their fees. WHAT ARE WE PAYING THEM FOR? DO NOT GO HERE FOR DEMENTIA OR MEMORY CARE. Their memory care is only suitable for low low functioning. Their sales pitch sounds lovely, the pricing fair, but its been a nightmare. I could write a book on this and we have only been at Oakleaf for 3 months. ... Day 4 and mom is still at the ER with no placement assisted by oakleaf. I am currently trying to get her into a place near me, but guess what, we are in the middle of a pandemic so i guess she lives at the hospital.

I moved my dad into Oakleaf in the late spring of 2019. As anticipated, his transition from an independent lifestyle, to the assisted living environment was not without its challenges. The first month or two were rough, I won't lie! But, the folks at Oakleaf were so patient with him, and worked with me (sometimes daily) to ease his transition. Now, nearly a year later, he is 'the boss' of the place! He loves it here, and feels like he has many friends and that 'people here love me!' I am so grateful to the team at Oakleaf for their daily care of my dad!
