Anchor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Aiken

My dad is there and he dont get good treatment I ask questions they dont know anything wish I was rich he would be home with good care if you got loves that need care dont send them there it is not the place to be its awful this place is good but its the workers the nurses the techs they just there for the check they dont care

This place is a nightmare. My father is here because of DVT's in both thighs. There has been no monitoring of his condition and it has been up me to point out that his legs are more swollen than when he arrived. I had to insist they mark and measure the swelling because this was not done on admission. No base line to tell if the swelling is worse or diminishing. He has no upper teeth and was brought fried hard chicken tenders for dinner that he could not chew. When I asked why his food was not chopped up, I was told speech therapy had not seen him to order a mechanical diet. My question of 'Why the hell not after 10 days?!' was met with a blank stare. No care plan meeting after 10 days of admittance. The facility is supposed to be doing his laundry, but in 10 days that hasn't happened once. I had to go dig through bags of unwashed clothes in the laundry room to find his 5 day old, urine soaked clothing, take it home and wash it. The next day I'm told he has no clothes again because no one bothered to look in the drawer. I'm told the facility washes clothes every day, but there is only one lady who washes clothes and she's backed up. When I asked exactly how many days of clothes I'm supposed to bring because apparently a weeks worth is not enough, I'm met with a blank stare again. $600/day. What a joke. Take your invalid parent elsewhere if you want them cared for.

We will never bring any family member back her they have terrible attitudes and they dont care about there patients my grandmother has attended this place and she was stabbed by a girls nails her phone was thrown on the floor they dont clean and the bring food way to late I think no one should attend here

Nursing staff stinks but rehab staff listens and they helped me alot. So if your going for nursing dont put your loveed one here. Its a party every night at the nursing station and they are answering no call lights. First night there they didnt check on me even once. The only thing I recieved from Anchor was a bed sore to the heel of my foot as the matress was to shirt . Forgetvshowers bed baths and hygiene. One CNA stated that wasnt in her hob descrition. In two months I gotv2 showers and 4 bed baths. Farcshortvif thecstate mandatedcevery ither d ar y.
