B/S/S/T Area Agency on Aging, Inc.

This is a truly poorly run group. I don't see how this group has the elderly in mind or at the center of their work values. My mother was waiting for an appointment for a month after experiencing congestive heart failure. She was never informed it was moved out of the building she lives into another town. They never considered she may not have transportation, not if she would be able to make their health wise. The response was, they attempted to call, Kudos to them, they had no consideration that she may not be ambulatory or unable to get to another town, nor did they attempt alternate means to contact her. Maybe worrying about one's elderly mother and these little things is unique, but I highly doubt it.Whomever I did talk to on the phone seemed quite satisfied that she only called then moved on (my 74 year old mom's loss right?) an elderly person that made an appointment with the group because she is having health issues and needed someone to come to her building to discuss insurance, medicare, etc. She had been waiting a month for the appointment. Don't bother with this group, this is the second time we tried with them and had the same success.
