Full disclosure: I've worked at Seton Manor for over a decade. I worked via agency for a few years, went to many homes throughout the area, worked at Seton, fell in love with it and took a staff job there. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, every person professional while also showing their personality and love of care for the residents. The building is meticulously up-kept. The dietary department is great! (The food really is the best nursing home food in the area with plenty of variety and an always available menu.) And the activity department is simply fantastic! There are multiple activities everyday and live music often. Can't forget the transportation, which takes our residents to their Dr. appointments and also out for fun excursions. Definitely a great place to send your family or loved one when they need care!

My dad is there. I live in Central/Upstate NY about 3-4 he drive away & I although I'm technically retired I work part-time. I was a CNA then an LPN & I worked in long term care for over 20 years .I did home care & agency work also. I worked in Florida & in NY. I've seen many nursing homes. I've also been in a rehab facility for total knee replacement recovery. So I have some insight into this. From what I've seen so far in the couple times I've been able to get down there I'm very pleased with the care my dad's been receiving. I know my mom isn't but no one can please her it's just how she is. She needs to be a resident there too. That's another story !
