Wow when you have to call the authorities to help your loved one off the floor ..... Im sure it might have been a bad day but not ok.

The staff is friendly and helped me get back on my feet fast. The therapists make you work so you can regain the use of which ever joint/limb you need to work on. This was my second knee replacement and second time, at my request, at Concordia. I couldn't ask for a better team.

My sister-in-law is currently in this facility and the quality of care she is receiving is horrible. She pushes her call button and it takes at least an hour for someone to come and see what she wants. She is currently over 3 hours past due for her scheduled pain medication and has been waiting for over 45 minutes for help to the bathroom. She called for her scheduled pain medication 3 hours ago and NOBODY has answered her call button! She has a fractured disc and can not walk on her own. I have called the number for the rehab myself and got through to a very nice nurse on another floor who transferred my call to the first floor nurses station where my sister-in-law is. The phone rang over 30 times and no one answered. I called back and got the same nice nurse that I got the first time and she actually walked to the first floor with the phone and told a nurse why I was calling. The nurse said they would take care of it. This lack of care is inexcusable.

I actually went home early because of the great physical therapy I received from Dr Jay and his staff. The nursing /aide service I received was good. No issues. The food wasn't very good though. If it wasn't for my family bring me something to eat, I would have starved.

This place is horrible. My mother in law suffered here. Hours would go by before they would change her. They would only come in once or twice a day. She needed help with feeding and were very reluctant to help. Some of the nurses were very nice but there were far too many that just didn't care. She had broken her femur and there were strict instructions for her to have bed pans but one of the nurses got her out of bed and took her to the bathroom....such incompetence. So many other things to list. My review doesnt end here. Care for our elderly has to be top notch nothing less should be tolerated. Call your local ombudsman they are our voice!!
