Millerstown Senior Citizen's Center

APRIL 28, 2020. My husband is an over the road truck driver working in this Covid 19 national emergency. He often drives Route 322/22 to reach the larger highways. Tonight, he pulled over at a wide spot to use the portie-john and was accosted with KINDNESS by these Millertown Senior Citizen Center members who were out there to show appreciation to the truck drivers of our nation! KINDNESS!!! He was greeted with ready smiles, presented with yummy chicken, pork 'n beans, and many other delicious foods, coffee and gifted a couple of home-sewn face masks to keep him safe. He was so impressed with their giving-ness and kindness that he called to tell me how appreciated it made him feel to simply be doing his job! They wouldn't even take payment for his meal he tried to give, almost seemed insulted by it! Well, Millerstown Senior Citizen's Center, you WILL accept a whole heart-full of praise, admiration and appreciation from our family to you!!!! Thank you for your generosity, your kind words and for making my husband's day one of the best he's had on the road in a very long time!!! Thank you from me for the peaceful feeling to know he is among good people for those times he passes through your town. THANK YOU SO KINDLY!!!!

Neat stuff going on down here! Supporting our seniors is important work, and they are working hard to meet the needs of the elders in the community.
