Dock Woods Living Branches Community

My husband and I have lived in a cottage in Dock Acres for over 5 years. I have felt at home here since the day we moved in. There is a peaceful and secure feeling living here. When we are not in our cottage, we walk over to the main building for working out in the Fitness Center, meeting friends, occasionally eating in the Hearthside Bistro or Christopher's Restaurant, attending meetings, enjoying educational and musical programs or religious services in the Chapel or in Fischer Hall, browsing the beautiful and excellent library, or just taking a walk down the bright and beautifully decorated hallways to see the new artwork. Everyone who works here has treated us with the utmost in respect and good cheer. This includes the administrative staff as well as staff in the dining, maintenance, housekeeping , social service, physical therapy, nursing, Fitness Center, Acorn Shop, and Treasure Shop areas.I must mention the joy of living in such proximity to the energy of children and youth via the Child Care Center in our midst and the Dock Academy adjoining the Dock property.....hearing the laughter and shouts of the young people at after school sports practices or under the Friday night lights at their games. The Dock Woods residents have the privilege of free attendance to the dress rehearsals to all of Dock Academy plays and musicals. Last but not least, there really is a woods here, with walking trails, benches, and even a small bridge over a stream. It's like living in the country but with everything we need close at hand!

This is a wonderful community. My Mother-in-law has lived at Dock Woods and now Harmony House over the past 8 years. The staff and her care have been wonderful! Highly recommended!

We have lived in The Villas at Dock Woods for four years and enjoy the community, location, and amenities very much. Our unit is a spacious two-bedroom Villa, with comfortable space for us and for entertaining family and friends. Dock personnel are attentive to resident needs, and provide many educational, recreational, and social opportunities. Our neighbors became a whole new circle of friends. While Dock Woods is off the 'beaten track,' but accessible to Lansdale and Harleysville for shopping, banking, health care needs, etc.

Dock Woods is one of the better assisted living/nursing homes. I have seen a few others over the years but Dock beats them all.Everyone is friendly there and the care is top notch! A+!
