I was taking care of my father and desperately seeking help. He was in delusional state of dementia (believing people were coming in his apartment, watching him and stealing things he had misplaced) causing him life threatening anxiety. I went to the office of Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging and was told all they could offer is meals on wheels. I agreed thinking there would at least be another person seeing him each day.Two days later the agency began calling accusing me of taking advantage of the elderly and filed a protection order against me and called me numerous times threatening to call the police on me. Be careful getting these people involved in your personal life. I did nothing wrong.
