A loved one was here briefly and this place far exceeded my expectations. The in house physician was amazing and listened to our every request (through the nurses as we never had a chance to meet in person). Thank you all for a job well done.Update: It has been one year since our family spent time here. I still am in complete awe at the level of care given to our loved one. I even spent the night and witnessed firsthand how hard the staff work together. The care here was much better than third floor at BAH.

Mom was here for 30 days after breaking her hip. Fabulous people everywhere. Very helpful and always cheerful. Abbie was so nice after I had a meltdown the first night mom was here. Have never seen so many professional people in one medical facility that were always helpful, cheerful and ready with a smile. Clean and just all around a great atmosphere for healing and getting back on your feet. David on the evening shift and Jeff in housekeeping. Irene on the night shift. T.J. In physical therapy is top of the line fellow as well as Jessica. I wish all of their names could be mentioned here. The gals who answer the phone are all great and helpful too. I cant say enough good things about Life Care in Coos Bay. Great place for anyone to heal, recover, and return home. Mom left after 30 days. I still miss going in to Life Care.

We were authorized by insurance to have my mother moved to this facility after she broke her pelvis. All of a sudden, they want a check for $6700 non refundable when insurance was to pay for 20 days at no cost to the patient. They said that they were basing it on a 60-day stay. I told Dana Wolf that my mother would only be there while it was medically necessary which would be for under 20 days which should be no cost to the patient. Dana tried to say it was for meeting an out of pocket maximum. I assure you that after an emergency visit and her hospital stay, most of her out of pocket will be paid already. When insurance called to find out why they would charge us $6700 non refundable, Dana Wolf wouldnt answer her calls. I would understand asking for a refundable deposit to ensure they would get paid, but nonrefundable sounds like the facility is taking advantage of the elderly. Needless to say, my beloved mother will not be going there. Shame on Dana Wolf and this facility. We should give our elderly and hurt better than this! Reply to owners reply to call them:What the Personnel at your facility did to us, which I have already described in my review, speaks for itself.  It is a little late to act like you care now that I've moved my mom home with me. The sad part about the whole thing is that some elderly are alone and don't have a family member like me that can step up and care for them at this extensive of level. I hope that your facility learns from this mistake and treats the next family that comes along with a little more compassion and assistance. After all, we will all be elderly someday if we are lucky. After our experience with your facility's personnel, I would never trust my mom to go to your facility.
