Our father has been living at Cambridge since December2015. In September of 2016 he was hospitalized for a respiratory infection and sepsis. While he was in the hospital we discovered a massive decubitus ulcer (bed sore). Dad went to a different facility for recovery but he really wanted to return to Cambridge because he enjoyed his own apartment. We talked with the administration, created a new service plan, switched home health care, and they hired a new nurse. We had several conversations with staff and they made several promises to keep us posted of any changes in his care and train their staff better. Well yesterday he was hospitalized again for sepsis and we discovered another bed sore. The wounds are so large of can fit a tangerine in both of them. My heart is broken and I'm so angry. When I talked to staff half 'didn't know about it' and the others simple said, 'we should have communicated better'. nothing more. This is the worst care I have ever seen. They have NEGLECTED to provide him simple daily cares that have caused deadly health complications. Bed sores should never happen at any care facility and Samaritan home health also failed to notify family of changes in his care. I'm beyond disappointed. I DO NOT recommend Cambridge to care for your loved ones. They DO NOT trade their staff and the turn over is very high. Management gives nothing but lip service.

I feel at home, my family is close and the food is good. My grandkids enjoy the pool table and the free popcorn.
