One of a kind 55+ community in OKC. They thought of everything! It is the perfect place for active seniors to live who want to travel, enjoy OKC social activities, and not have to worry about home maintenance. The apartments are well designed, the amenities are awesome, and it is located near shopping, restaurants and everything you need! Keep in mind there are people of all capabilities who live there but it is ultimately designed for the active senior who wants to enjoy life!

I might change my review in the future, but my review is based on the experience my 83-year old mother had when she moved in. She was downsizing and had a ton of things to go through before the move. The manager told her that Christy Roberts had helped many others who moved in there. The manager was probably got a kickback for referring people. It turned out that Christy was a scam artist. She told people that she would take their furniture they wanted to sell to a consignment shop & give them the money, but she didn't. My mother was so impressed by the work Christy was doing and trusted her enough to give Christy her credit card to go pick up prescriptions or groceries for her. With everything go on with the move, my mother didn't know about all the things Christy bought for herself with my mother's card. When Christy paid for about $60 worth of groceries for my mother with my mother's credit card, Christy would get over $100 of groceries for herself. Christy also used my mother's credit card number to get rides on Uber, get $200 from Direct TV, sporting goods, etc. But I found out later that she didn't give people the money for their furniture. Being elderly and in the middle of a move like my mother, most people probably didn't take any action. There were a couple of people who tried to take her to small claims court. One them ended up moving out of state before her case came up so that claim was dropped. But another person who had known her and even helped Christy move some people into Grand Tapestry took her to court for her mother who wasn't paid and won her case for about $1500. My mother and I didn't know any of this at that time. Since Christy had worked so hard, my mother believed her when she asked to borrow $3000 and said she would pay her back when she got paid from her job as a manager of a facility for seniors. She never paid my mother back. Given the timing of when Christy asked for that money, it was probably used to pay the small court judgement against her. Near the end of my mother's move, Christy was packing boxes for my mother's move and found my mother's extra checks in a drawer. Christy stole some of those checks and forged her signature. My mother didn't know she had taken them because they weren't from her checkbook. But one of the times, a bank teller got suspicious. She called the police and stalled Christy while they were en route. When they got there, they arrested Christy for forgery and exploitation of the elderly. Christy still had enough of the $3000 she stole from my mother to bond out. Since she knew my mother was currently living at Grand Tapestry and there was still furniture and silver at her house, Christy went to my mother's house and stole much of what was left. She was able to get in the house since my mother trusted her enough to give her the key!Because my mother used the person the manager at Grand Tapestry recommended, it ended up costing my mother about $10,000. As a retired school teacher, she really needed that money. I shared this story at the headquarters for Grand Tapestry. I don't know if that made a difference, but the manager who made that recommendation is no longer working there. It seems like a nice place but expensive. They should had thought about mobility needs of the residents. I use a cane and it seems like a long walk from the entrance all the way down one hall to get the elevator then go down another hall to get to my mother's apartment. My mother has trouble walking to the entrance with her walker which is where breakfasts (included in the $1500/month rent) are held so she ends up missing many of them. Her apartment includes a washer/dryer. Her bedroom is fairly small so she had to get rid of her king-size bed and get a queen. There isn't a tub. For that rent, they should have walk-in tubs for older people. They have a room on each floor with cages where residents can store extra items. There are some additional units outside that people can rent. There is no covered parking & OK gets a lot of hail storms.

We came here from Fla....downsizing to an apt from there and were a little nervous. Nothing to be nervous about...WE LOVE it here and love the residents, the staff is warm and friendly. their job is to make you happy and they let you know that and they work hard to do that. You gotta come and see it before you will fully appreciate it and all it has to offer. add on )It is now July ....we came in November......and I still love it here....wherever you live it is never too far to come....luxury and pampering!!!
