I am replying to a negative review that was written by my younger sister earlier about the facility. My sister had limited experience and very few actual visits to Abbington during our mom's stay. I believe her negative review was emotionally charged and I don't believe the facility deserved the negative review.Myself, my other sisters and my wife (a medical professional), had a very positive experience with our mom's stay at Abbington, Pickerington. The facility is very clean, the staff was extremely professional, friendly and customized their service delivery to the individual needs of each resident. My wife and I were there on a regular basis and the performance and responsiveness of the staff was fantastic. They truly cared for my mom in the compassionate approach that everyone would want for their aging parent.I normally don't write reviews, neither positive or negative, however I felt compelled to do so in this case. We had a very positive experience with Abbington and I would strongly recommend you consider the facility for your aging relatives.

My mother had to be hospitalized twice in 4 months for viral infections. The 2nd one she died. They did not recognize dehydrationYet nothing upset me more is when I went to pick up my mother for a doctor's appointment and I could hear her crying help me help me. I went running passing an employee who said yeah she has been saying that all day. My response is did you help her. Then I had to borrow a wheelchair from another resident to get her to my car. This place is smoke and mirrors. Find another place..

My 62 year old mom had a stroke in April, is wheelchair-bound, and requires 24 hour assistance, which is than I could provide for her. My sister and I researched assisted living facilities in our areas, and visited several. We happened to walk into Abbington (because I pass it frequently), and immediately knew that this was her new home. The staff genuinely cares about the residents, they are reasonably priced, and were able to eventually take Medicaid, which is a must in our situation. I have peace of mind, know that my Mom is loved and taken care of, and she is also not too far from my home (which is an added bonus)! Although she is the youngest resident currently at the facility, she has already made many friends during her short time there. I highly recommend Abbington of Pickerington!
