Gaitanaros Commons

Many changes have been occurring over the last few months with new management within the facility. Positive changes have occurred here which is enlightening to see when you are in the healthcare field. This facility allows your family member to transition throughout the stages in life which most facilities are not equipped to handle. Assisted livings do not always provider 24 nursing care, which is one positive amenity this facility provides.

The facility is very clean and the aides are helpful! The facility has a excellent nurses team and then sum. The Activities manager is unbelievable she does all the decorating and is always there when needed. They have a new D.O.N and she has done a beautiful job since she took over and when you ask her to do something she gets it done.

From the start, this place is gorgeous!! I had lunch with my Aunt this week, and the food was excellent (not your typical hospital/nursing home food, yuk!) Management is amazing here. Placing my Aunt, has been extremely stressful, but the director of nursing and assistant director of nursing gave me there personal cell phone numbers to call if I need anything at all! I cant believe it, I have never had a facility make me and my family feel so comfortable and at ease. I have visited numerous times unannounced and am very pleased with the care and the staff truly treat my aunt like she is family. This place is a hidden gem! I highly recommend this facility!

I have been a resident for 5 years now! The Aides are very friendly and caring and the nurses are always on top of things! I love activities they offer a lot of different things to do like painting on a canvas we play corn hole we go on trips to Walmart and around Christmas time we go on a bus and look at the pretty lights! The Management team is very Sufficient and caring! Our rooms get cleaned every day and housekeeping is always up to par!!!

Mom and Dad have made their home at Gaitanaros Commons for the past two years. When my sister and I began looking for Assisted Living facilities, we anticipated a long search. Gaitanaros Commons was the second place we visited, and we quickly realized our search was over. It doesn't have that 'hospital' or 'institution' vibe at all. Rather, the dining room feels more like a family restaurant. The food is excellent, with a daily menu. My Mom, who is a very picky eater loves the fact that there is always an alternate menu selection. She really loves ice cream, too! Their little apartment is amazing, complete with a small kitchenette. Gaitanaros Commons is clean and well maintained. The best part is the team, led by owner Ed Gates is professional, friendly and treats their residents like family. We have been caught up in the bureaucracy of filing for Medicaid for Mom and Veteran's Assistance for Dad for almost two years now. Mr. Gates has been patient, kind and informative as we are navigating these difficult roads. His leadership team includes Rita, Director of Nursing and Administrative Assistant Kathleen. Both of these ladies are outstanding and we look forward to seeing them each time we visit. Mom and Dad love when Nurse Practitioner Denise visits, and receive outstanding medical care from Nurses Jackie, Amy and Theresa. We are so grateful to have found Gaitanaros Commons.
