My mom was here for a little over a year in the dementia unit and everyone there was caring and kind. We were very pleased with her care here. She was always clean, well fed and happy.

Excellent facility for both memory care and skilled nursing! The individuals in the therapy department are long standing dedicated people whose mission is to ensure residents receive the best rehabilitation possible! The facility is clean and smells good coming in the door!! I would recommend The Diplomat to anyone in need of high quality care for their loved ones!

My father is a resident of the memory care floor. He is a 92 year old with dementia and diabetes. When he was transferred to Diplomat from another facility, he had a large wound on his foot. We were concerned that he would lose his toe. The nursing staff and the wound nurse vigilantly took care of this issue and now, his feet look as if he had never been injured. My father was very unhappy and frustrated by the care at the other facility. Within weeks of his transfer, he had become much calmer and happier. The staff on the memory care floor are exceptionally patient and compassionate. They work very hard and for long hours and Im amazed and encouraged by their sense of humor, steadfastness and calm demeanor. We are constantly kept up to date with his care including being notified if he ever fell or was injured in any way, his food intake, and any changes in behavior. We never have to wait long for anything we ask for - towels, pillows, needing a change for incontinence. Despite working long hours, I have not witnessed much staff turnover here which is a testament to the strength of a facility - especially one that cares for residents with memory issues. At this time, my father is getting hospice care at Diplomat. They are working very hard to make this final transition a peaceful and comfortable one. The decision to have a loved one in a long term care facility is never easy and it requires involvement from the family for your loved one. That being said, the care that the Diplomat staff and the Harbor Light Hospice staff are providing to my father is exceptional and one for which our family is very grateful.
