My Dad is there now..he doesnt really know why he is there but the aids that work there are all very nice to him and to all our family members. He will be there a year at the end of April. All the nurses that work there are GREAT! Paula, the boss is great also if have any problems or questions she is there to help you. Just cant Thank them enough for everything they are doing His Daughters....

Overall, the place was fine. Only complaints were that if asked for some medication, the message on night shift wouldn't get passed on or they wouldn't bring it for several hours.Only seeing a Dr. on Fridays, about 5pm and only for about 5 minutes.Therapy was excellent and they listened to my needs.The bed I had, was broke for about 2 weeks even though they said when I got there originally, they were going to get a different one.

All the nurses and aides are wonderful, they will get you anything you need if they can. Its a nice place to be when you are hurting. When I was having trouble with my legs my therapist Chris was a big help. I have made a lot of friends here!

Lets be honest, NO ONE wants to be in or put their loved one in a nursing home, but sometimes we must.My family loves this facility! When we were faced with choosing a place for our loved ones long term care we visited, unannounced, several local nursing facilities and Amberwood Manor was at the top with meeting the majority of our wishlist of things we expected. We have had family members in several of the local larger facilities and we have become a firm believer that bigger is NOT better. This smaller facility definitely lends it self to a more caring, friendlier atmosphere. The entire staff has gotten to know not only our loved one but our family. They have gone out of their way to help and accommodate us whenever special occasions have come up and whenever we have a question or concern they will sit down and discuss it with us. They do not in turn hesitate to contact us if they have a concern or question and we greatly appreciate open lines of communication-this is so important to insure the best possible care. We would and do recommend Amberwood !I would just like to update my review -Ten StarsDuring the Covid-19 shutdown Amberwood has handled the situation with the up most care, dignity, and respect for the residents. They have done an amazing job trying to stay on top of an ever changing situation. I was always able to get any of my questions or concerns answered. They ensured phone calls, Face Time, and deliveries for my loved one, and kept us up to date on any health concerns. We are truly blessed to have such a great team looking out for our loved one. We can never thank you enough!

Im so thankful that my loved one is being cared for at Amberwood. It is very down to earth, and homelike. When I first came with my loved one, with the sickness, worry, decisions, I sadly got caught up in emotions, listening to outside source. But my love one improvement was noticeably obvious the first week there!!!! From the front offices to the nursing floor , thank you!!!! North side & Southside! The Nurses and staff are great. And patient with me! The facility is always neat & clean also! Just to give a shout out to Kendra & Norman , ( Northside Aide ) Tasha, Tracey, Thank you!!! Even the cooks, I have received a few free meals, and the food is Good!! It is much appreciated, as I have been exhausted!!! No place is Perfect. But its perfect for us!!! Thank you, Sala De Serio Heckman .

this is the worse nursing home ever!! our loved one is in there and gets the worse treatmeant ever! we are taking her out of there !!!!!!!!! she is in the hospital right now and they said they haven't seen a case of neglect as bad as hers. her bottom is so red that it was bleeding and has blisters on it from them just leaving her in wetness and her bm for a very long period of time before they change her .then blaming it on her.. she feel out of bed and hit her eye on the corner of bed stand and they left her lay there for awhile before anyone got to her.. and take no blame for that either !! even tho they changed her bed and didn't put rail on it and that is what she was reaching for and wasn't there and kept reaching and fell out .. she has had so many urinary tract infection from being dirty down there..her things get stold all the time ,,they threw her teeth away ,,and blame it on her when they know for a fact they did it ...they leave her lay till shes about dead before they send her to hospital!! why?? because they don't want them to see how she is nectled...I could go on and on about this place ,, ived tried to talk to jack and Cynthia about things but they just blame our loved one,, I beg everyone who reads this to please pass this along ,,I want no one else to have to go threw what our loved one has been threw there ..
