Divine Living of Madison

July 2020I'm adding an update to my review. My mother has been at Divine Living now for 8 months. She is doing remarkable. Charlotte and her team treat each person like a family member. My mother is so happy and her health has improved by leaps and bounds. She has developed wonderful friendships with both the staff and residents. During the Covid 19 outbreak Charlotte was ahead of all other senior living facilities by taking precautions and creating a safe environment for her residents to continue to thrive without fear of Covid 19. I cannot say enough good things about this facility and all of the caregivers - they truly are an extended family to my mom and have become so to my brother and I as well. If you're looking for a place for your loved one to enjoy their later years and be treated with love, care and dignity then Divine Living is the place.October 2019A few weeks ago my brother and I were told my mother was no longer safe to live alone. We had already walked this journey several years ago when we needed to place my father into a nursing home. We went through 4 different facilities with him and were appalled at how the elderly were treated. Now the task to find a suitable place for my mom. My prayer was, Lord is there anywhere out there that truly cares and honors the elderly? Is there anywhere that would care for my mother the way we would, if we were able to care for her at home? Thanks to a list I received from the Council on Aging I had somewhere to start. Divine Living of Madison jumped off the page and I decided to call and set up an appointment. I met with Charlotte (the owner) the next morning and from the first meeting I knew this was a woman who had a huge heart for the elderly and also has the credentials and experience to properly care for them. Ive looked at countless facilities over the past several years and none can compare to Divine Living. The facility is spotless, smells fresh and clean all the time, the food is truly home cooking, the atmosphere is one of family. There is a presence of peace here that is not of this world. The staff is friendly and caring. They know each person by name and they make a point to get to know each one personally. The evening we moved my mother in, she was welcomed as if she was family and then easily adjusted to her new home because the staff took the time to help her adjust and show her around. It was truly a miracle to find this place. All I can say is YES Divine Living of Madison is truly Divine. Divine Living of Madison accepted my father as a resident in full knowledge of his cognitive capabilities and behaviors without the ability to care for him. Charlotte Kister robbed my father. As a patient with unspecified dementia, PTSD, and depression, he exhibits a variety of behaviors and mood swings. This was communicated to Divine Living with 100% transparency and clarity, as I was seeking to place my father someplace he could be for a long time. Diving Living of Madison accepted my father without having adequately trained staff to take care of him. His emotional health has suffered in the hands of untrained caregivers, and we chose to move him out after 1.5 weeks. Divine Living of Madison refused to refund any of the 4,500 + dollars of his money that they took. My father is a combat veteran from Vietnam on a fixed income. For shame, Divine Living, for shame. 1 Timothy 6:10 ESV: For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

My dad is here. And from day 1 he felt like it was home. The residents are happy, the staff is happy and the owner is AWESOME. The food is cooked daily and they are like homemade meals. Probably cuz they are. Lol. I keep saying I want to move in. If your looking for a place for your loved ones to go if they need assistance, this is the place. I love this place, but more important, my dad loves it here.

Devine Living have been so wonderful to my dad and for him. He loves living there. It was a great moment whet he said it felt like home. I cant say enough good things about Devine Living. Charlotte and everyone have been so wonderful to work with!!! I cant thank you enough for taking such great care of dad. If you are looking for a place for a loved one - look no further!!!

Clean! Homelike. Exceptional care. The staff is always very welcoming and you can tell the residents are loved and cared for.
