Please do not take your loved ones here. As a former employee, I can tell you there is a lot wrong with this place. Due to the pandemic, nobody can come visit their families. The aides do not change the elders as much as they should, because they know the families will not see it. The nurses just shrug everything off until the patients have to be rushed to the hospital. Then they just say they had no idea there was anything wrong. The aides are expected to do so much, and the elders do not get the care they deserve.

They say a Christian foundation yet put their employees partners in unsafe work environments. Lack of food and supplies. All about saving a buck. Most management doesnt listen to the concerns and the ones that do leave because they cant change it. These concerns are much bigger than any nurse or Stna can fix.ProsEating with the eldersConsEverything

I really love otterbein, I am a current worker for otterbein and this place is beyond the best place Ive ever worked..! Staff gives 100% help overall and management definitely smiles to assure the appreciation for the job we do here at otterbein. Not to mention, i enjoy cooking, and cleaning as though i am state tested and have patient care to assure about. This is like a true sorority house and we are here to give our grandma and grandpas the love and care they require!

Horrible place to work! TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE SOMEWHERE ELSE!! management does not listen you the problems and concerns going on with the elders. We ALWAYS run out of supplies. Struggle to make lunch and dinner because of our lack of food. We would have to go steal food from other houses that didnt have food either lol! Elders will go WEEKS yes WEEEKS without showering. They do not check shower sheets & what days showers are supposed to be done. They also dont check care cards to see how the elder even needs to be helped assisted or cared for! Neighborhood assistants are forced to do patient care daily. NOT CERTIFIED OR TESTED! Elders pays almost 2,000 to live here monthly. Thats overpriced for somewhere that doesnt have food & supplies. We always run out of wipes and briefs. Then what did they expect us to do? Pendants half the time dont work so if your elder is having a heart attack in the room we wouldnt know because they cant call for help!!! Our staff for the most part is great. Agency is where its all screwed up. They get paid almost double what staff gets paid. They pick up people. They dont care about the elders they care about that easy money! This place needs new management ASAP. Also they pay there staff bottom dollar and expect you to bust your butt. I happened to get fired for smoking a cigarette on property on my break because of how damn chaotic and hell that place is,

Horrible place to work. No one listens to true concerns, like having no food available at times. There are many other places you can take your loved ones that provide better care.
